Hi everyone
Wow, I haven't updated this journal since the quakes in June. Goodness me. Actually, though there certainly hasn't been any big ones since then, they're certainly still going on. Just this last week, there have been frequent aftershocks, ranging from about 3.1 to 4.2, though they all feel much stronger, as they've been centred over our side of town this time. *UPDATE* While I was typing, there was a 4.8. For pity's sake Mother Nature.
But, in other news: firstly... WOW!!! Over 10,000 pageviews
Thank you so much everyone, I feel so special. I can't believe that nearly 10,000 people have looked at my page. I know some of them are people visiting more than once, but those people are even more special! I love you all
Since June, we've had the Formal (
) and prelims (
) and our school Performing Arts Showcase ( :stress: ). But they're over and done with now.
And now, there are only 11 days of high school left for me. Ever. Which is really quite scary. Not that I'm not looking forward to Uni, but I'll miss high school something chronic. And so many of my friend are moving away to Uni
But, before then, we have such exciting things as: Receiving our Leavers Hoodies, Receiving our Leavers Books (once we finish them...), attending the Leavers Dinner (for yr 13s and teachers), the Prefect lunch (which I'm invited to, even though I'm not a Prefect. Apparently I'm considered an honourary prefect, since I help them and do so much work for them *warm fuzzies* ), and the leavers breakfast, for yr 13s and parents, AND our Leavers Assembly, which is run for us yr 13s, by us yr 13s
So, much fun and happy times. (There are exams after that, but we won't think about those just yet).
Oh, also... IT'S HOLIDAYS!!!!
How is everyone?
*My mum has a blood clot, sitting just out of her brain. She's doing fine at the moment, feels completely fine, but the clot is just sitting there, despite the drs starting her on bloodthinners. We just have to hope it doesn't move.
